PIRATE STORY TIME AT MARS HILL COFFEEHOUSE

Hollister— Ahoy, Parents! If you are searching for activities for you and your wee ones to do together, then join us on Wednesday, July 14 at 11 a.m. at Mars Hill Coffeehouse for a frolicking good time at our “Buccaneer Bay” story time. We’ll be singing pirate songs, telling pirate jokes, and reading books about pirates.

Everyone is welcome to dress as his or her favorite swashbuckling bandit—Black Beard, Black Bart, Captain Morgan, Captain Kidd, or even that famous movie pirate—Jack Sparrow. Or just slap on your favorite eye patch and pirate bandana, hoist the Jolly Roger, and join in on the excitement!

Our story time will be presented by Hollister resident Julie Engelhardt. Julie has more than fifteen years’ experience offering story time presentations at schools and libraries in Southern California and at the elementary schools in the Hollister School District. Her idea is to present something different for the residents of Hollister, but she also wants to send a message to parents about the importance of reading to their children. “I love reading to children. They become so involved with the stories. I hope our first story time is a great success and that I will be able to come back many times to read other books to the children,” Engelhardt comments. “I would love to do a princess story time, a Medieval story time, one about animals, another about dinosaurs—the ideas are endless!”

This presentation is free and all family members are welcome. The program will begin promptly at 11 a.m. so make plans to arrive early for the best seats.

Mars Hill is also offering specials on coffee and non-coffee drinks during Story Time. 10% discount is available at the counter for everyone!

To all our members of the New Life to the Children Episode:

I am hoping everyone will take the time to view the video Eion and crew put together after our recent trip to Haiti. Since the earthquake in Haiti the need for shelter for orphanedchildren has grown acute. Most of the children had to go back tosleeping on the pavement. As Imagine This ! TV gets closer and closer to going into production(and it does!), we could use a little help from everyone. Please helpby shareing the video, makeing people aware of Imagine This! TV andpush us over the top. DivorceCare Group Helps

DivorceCare support groups at Mars Hill Coffeehouse continue to be
available to our community. Groups are held weekly on Sundays, 4:30 to
6:00 P.M.

DivorceCare is special weekly seminars and support group meetings for
people who are separated or divorced. If you know someone who is going
through a divorce or separation or …someone that is still hurting from
divorce or separation, make sure they know about DivorceCare.

There are materials at Mars Hill, and online at www.divorcecare.org.

New Light Ruins

New Light Ruins is the headlining band on Saturday, April 10th. They’re touring from L.A. and just released their new debut CD. This Christian folk rock group is eager to spread their passion for music, and we’re happy to have them perform at Mars Hill.

Joining the night’s performances are the New Harvest Worship band – a local favorite – along with Every Atlas who is also a returning act. The New Harvest Worship musicians pump out some great positive energy that’s a real crowd pleaser, and Every Atlas has been making appearances all over central California.

Show starts at 7 P.M. As always, no cover charge, no tickets needed!
